Ive been working on my system.

I have a 2003 Volvo V70.

Brand new battery i went to Sams Club to get it.

So im guessing its similar to the stock OEM battery.

I replaced my door speakers with

4 MB Quart 6.5"s

4 MB Quart Tweeters

2 4" MB Quart 2-Way speakers coming in soon.

Head unit is a Dual 240Watt. running my door speakers.

For my wiring its 0 Gauge with a 200 A Fuse.

The battery is in the trunk so life is wayy easy lol.

And i put a Pyle PLA2988

6000 Watt 2ch

2 Ohm Stable.

I installed a 2.6 CU Ft. Box Vented, Says tuned to 38hz

With a 12" HDC3 Sound Qubed Sub. 2 Ohm

I set the Hz to halfway on the amp and its lowest is 30Hz or so, I set it to 80Hz or so.

I have been talking with the SQ Tech team.

They told me not to use Bass Boost, But i set it less than halfway

Because my sub was just too quiet for me. I also set it to 6v which i guess is my Level/Gain.

And im just looking to increase my power. make it shake the car. it sounds really nice. and is pretty loud but not what i thought.

Im installing distribution blocks so that i can put in another 400Watt amp for the 4" speakers. to add in my trunk along with the 2 tweeters in my rear pillars.

And i believe my alternator is stock so im guessing it is around 120 Amps.

I was thinking of upgrading the alternator to a 200Amp.

And i was pondering a second battery or new alternator. But idk what to do.

If anyone has any ideas or want to chime in feel free. Ill post pics asap.

I bought fuses for the amp and the fuse for the power wire.

I bought 80A fuses and 50A spare fuses. Can i use 80A in my amp? It came with 2 50A installed.

And i bought 300A fuses for the power wire should i use that instead of the 200A it came with?

I really dont want to spend loads of money. But i have some i can spend.

Thanks guys! have a good weekend!!

Well, for starters, that Pyle amp is not giving the HDC3 nearly enough power. Pyle rates the amp at 600 watts @ 2 ohms, but odds are the output is less than that. If I were you, I would sell the Pyle and look for an amp that is CEA-2006 certified. This means the amplifier will do rated power at the voltage specified. For an HDC3, you will need an amplifier that does at least 1000 watts rms.

Hmm well im sure every amp will be shit unless its like 500$ lol

But my sub is 1000 watts rms, so anything in that range would suffice i imagine.
