severancej
Hi guys, I'm looking to help my friend on a budget build. He heard my 2 E12s on my Rockford T500 and was impressed by it so much i guess it inspired him lol. The enclosure design was joex's, huge thanks again to him, it works well and was super simple to assemble. That's what I'm looking for is an easy to build design that works. Ok so he has a 97 Jeep grand cherokee. 90Amp alternator, I did the big 3 for him in some 4 gauge stinger pro i had laying around, and he had already bought a Rockford amp kit 4 gauge also...pretty nice wire. Ok the max dims are 36" wide, 36"deep and 30"tall, this leaves plenty space for the port to breath either up our back.. The subwoofer is a skar audio ivx15 V1. Its a d2 coil. Here's spec off woofersetc.com I've heard specs may be incorrect with skar audio stuff over on ssa forums but i honestly don't know, anyway... severancej
Bumpage @ 33hz Edit. Idk if sub up port back is better than sub and port back on a low power build like this. Don't really matter to us it should be great either way, not chasing numbers 98' dodge ram 140A alt Big 3 XS D2700 JVC kd-r310 Rockford T500-1BDCP 2 Sundown E12 Ported 4cubes 35hz Rockford P400-4 2 Infinity reference 3way 6x9 2 Polk DB 5 1/4 2x layer dynamat all doors
RooTxBeeR
I have the same sub, running on 500 watts. I have flawed box so it could sound better. I would say build the box to be around 3.5cu if your going to be doing that kind of power. also if you want to tune to 33hz, go somewhere around 13-14sqin of port pet foot. RooTxBeeR
That's most likely the owner, who is no designer at all, when I told him that I wanted to hit the lows with my setup, told me to build a 2.5cuft box, can't hit the lows at all.
