angelscream Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 I am getting ready to do the Big 3 on my 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 HO. Can anyone tell me where the best grounding points would be for that vehicle? Also, I was looking into getting a NGT AGM battery as the underhood battery. I was wondering if they charge like from the alternator like a regular battery.
angelscream Posted July 23, 2013 Author Report Posted July 23, 2013 Anyone??? I was also looking into just using 2 AWG wire for the Big 3 instead of 1/0 since I am only pushing maybe 1600watts total.
Rmichael91 Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 You can do the big 3 and see gains in 4ga depending on your alternator. Basically the objective in doing the big3 is to provide a path of least resistance. Running your grounds over existing grounds. Alternator to frame, battery to frame, alt to battery and block to frame. If you have it, use the 1/0 or 2ga. The battery should charge as normal
