HU to Processor

Recommended Posts

I should be purchasing a 2006 Durango this coming week and my plan was to switch the Head Unit out. I have been comparing the pioneer x5500 and x8500. Doing some reading on here I came across this.

But after much debate and research and talking to other audio professionals, they 90% agreed that it would be best to either run the Rockford 360.3 or the pioneer. Running both is a bit too much processing and it would take for ever to get the tuning perfect since ur processing information twice and it is just cleaning to go thru one source before the amplifier.

I will be running a 360 in time that's why this post caught my eye. Is he talking about the audio signal or the HU eq and the 360s eq?

What do.

That is what I assumed. So is he talking about the audio signal? Phone > HU > 360 rather than phone > 360 or Ipod, what ever it is you are getting your music from. Most of my music I listen to is on CDs if that means anything.

if you use a processor you dont use the eq in the deck.
