rc6069
I am wondering if there is a "best" placement for ports in an enclosure. does it matter if they are on the same side as the subs or can they just be where they will fit. I have heard it does matter and some say it doesn't matter, so I came to the big dogs to get an answer. Thanks in advance for any help
Derrick824
Yes there is a best placement. Its vehicle specific so what are you driving? Do subs up & ports back for hatches & suvs and subs & ports back in a trunk.
banginAltima
that probably should be subs up ports forward for trunk... Quote If you build it, db's will come... Do subs up & ports back for hatches & suvs and subs & ports back in a trunk. the vehicle is a trailblazer with ( shamefully) only 2- 12" mtx subs for a buddy. I had thought that I heard the ports should be placed on the same plane as the subs to get a mutual coupling with the subs and the port output and asssumed that was a correct statement because I remember seeing some JL boxes with the port on the sub plane.
