IKnowImLost224
My malibu started randomly idling high intermittently. It's starting to become more of a problem now. Just recently it started doing it when I started the car whereit idles at like 2500 - 3000 RPM. My first option was to clean the IAC. That didn't work so I replaced it. Then I removed and cleaned the throttle body. That didn't work. I ran Gumout Fuel System Cleaner through a tank of gas and it didn't happen at all during that tank (may just be coincidence) but started happening again after I filled up again. The only thing that has "fixed" the problem temporarily (until I start the car again) is disconnecting, then reconnecting the TPS. I feel like if the TPS was bad disconnecting then reconnecting it wouldn't, in a sense, reset it. I have no idea what the issue is here but it's bugging the hell out of me! It's making my car run hotter, eating away at gas, and shifting funny!

IKnowImLost224
Not positive, but wouldn't a vacuum leak be a constant high idle?
