Voltage spikes when blipping the throttle?

Usually 14.6ish iirc

What's your pulley size and idle speed? And what size alt did you get?

Did a test, ~200amp load on the battery and alternator, dropped to 11.6volts on a 3 second burp :/ well, I guess when the alt is only doing 80amps, it won't help much.

Could just be that the revs aren't high enough.... I've ordered a shorter belt, see what happens I guess.

edit: it idles too low to get any decent current at idle, I tested again at 2000rpm, and got 280amps at 13.8volts (the entire amplifier and cars current draw I'd say)

but to me, this suggest the belt can't be slipping much, if at all :/

my alt is exactly the same. its the 320a model and i have the same issue.. it was sent to be repaired i just never went through the trouble of putting it back in

it blew a bearing.. though i know it was slipping since it got black all around the alp pulley

i was told by Eric it was slipping after i showed him video
