BigManAC Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 You could always build the box in the trunk and form it to the car if you wanted to use your back seat. Or the other option is seal off your trunk and have the subs and port facing front. In that instance you would need to seal off the trunk completely. Im with John, go with the 12's and see if you can do a trunk wall and have it all unload into the cab. 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw

Also you will need to post specifically what: Amp wire size type batt(s) subs big 3? max spec of the trunk. what music you plan to play most SPL, GP or SQ "Walmart Where Car Audio Is Both Funny and Sad" "The weak are meat, and the strong do eat..."
jarrius Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 I will say this I love my hdc3 12 (same motor, coil just different size) and just with te 1 on 1200w I can put a 140db score on the TL. Also it sounds amazing I have only ever had jl audio befor and to me this sub sounds as good if not better and half the price 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
Joe Hagerty Posted August 7, 2013 Author Report Posted August 7, 2013 Alrite so wat do u think about 2 HDC312s? I had a few dif options i was lookn at 1: 2 15" type Rs hooked to a hifonics BRZ amp 2: 2 15" memphis M5s hooked to a memphis amp 3: 2 12" jvc arsenal subs hooked to a hifonics BRX or GLX amp 4: 2 15" lanzar optidrive subs hooked to a hifonics BRZ or GLX amp Or the sound qubed option what would be my best bet to go with? I listen to mainly rap and r&b and i like bein heard from blocks away i can be heard from 2 block away now wit my setup i have but im lookn for 6 or 7 blocks away which would b my best bet on accomplishing that?
jarrius Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 I would go with the 2 12's personally. That would be about a 6cube box(just doubled my box because its made for 1 so I could be wrong) And don't do it just to be heard from 7blocks away that is being a dick and gives us bass heads a bad name. I will tell you this now if that's your goal and want to annoy people you will not get much help. Be respectfull with your audio system and not be the dush that pisses people off because its funny 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
Joe Hagerty Posted August 7, 2013 Author Report Posted August 7, 2013 Well only reason i want my stereo like that is cuz thats how it is out here bass is a big thing around here one of my dudes has 4 dd 18s in his burban nd it jus blows everybdys stereos out here away its a big thibg around here and not very many people get annoyed with it so its usually ok. How loud and acurate r tge hdc3 12s? How hard do tgey hit? Whats a good ammount of watts to put to em? And are the better then the american bass hd series subs? Ive heard alot of good reviews on the hd15s nd jl w7s but like i said im not real familar wit sound qubed im tryn to get as much input as i can before i put the money into em
thefourth Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 "Want to be heard 6-7 blocks away" Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
