genesis Posted August 9, 2013 Report Share Posted August 9, 2013 mr.skippy- I respectfully disagree with 25% coverage, ONLY when talking TOTAL deadening. from a total cost vs. performance standpoint, you're absolutely right.. on my specific car I measured a .4 db decrease in noise when I went from 25% to. 100%. was it worth the extra cost? to me sure. to most no. that said, mat deadener is a small part of deadening, and likely the least likely to deaden outside noise. mlv and ccf are the trick with that!
