Joebro63 Posted August 10, 2013 Author Report Posted August 10, 2013 I just upgraded my system from a class ab 4ch 160wrmsx2 and one 150wrms sub and one 250wrms sub to two brand new 250wrms subs and a d-class 4ch 440wrmsx2 @ 4 ohms bridged I also upgraded my wire from 8 to 4awg But here's the problem. The subs won't crank out sound nearly as hard as the old gear. And when I get the gains near max the voice coils over heat and start to stink. Part numbers are fusion ca-da41400 and en-sw120(x2) kit is fusion 4ga (recommended with amp)
Joebro63 Posted August 10, 2013 Author Report Posted August 10, 2013 Can anyone help please? This has cost me 100% of my earnings already
justin0943 Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 the subs are rated 150rms and how to you got it hook to the amp you have to bridge it on the fr+ fl- on one sub and the other sub to rr+ rl- 02 dodge ram 1500 reg cab 3rd gen 2 sundown sd-2 d4 soundstream rub1.2500 amp all sky high car audio-fuse,fuse holder, wire, ring lugs and rca flex tech box design by Joe X supension-mcgaughys 2in drop spindal ,western chassis 6in flip kit, buddy custom c-notch 04 5.7l hemi motor swap and made it an slt eletric everthing youtube channel-http://www.youtube.c...43?feature=mhee http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/190882-02-dodge-ram-1500-3rd-gen/
Guest Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 is the box different. what else is different besides the wiring, woofers, and amp. did any of the headunit settings change? if you took the - terminal, off the battery, the headunit would have reset back to factory settings
Joebro63 Posted August 10, 2013 Author Report Posted August 10, 2013 Na same box, I have tuned all the head unit settings, it has three band parametric ieq and I've got it all the same as it was
Joebro63 Posted August 10, 2013 Author Report Posted August 10, 2013 And the subs are en-sw121 not 120
Guest Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 i assume each sub is wired to 2 bridged channels of that 4 channel?
Joebro63 Posted August 10, 2013 Author Report Posted August 10, 2013 On the old amp I had the old subs wired in parallel off the rear bridge
