Lbox88
So, plans are right now to try to take down the headliner next weekend to deaden the entire roof, I think I should have enough left over from doing my doors. I am also planning to take a look at and maybe get some plasti dip to do the rims and the front/rear chrome bar, but I can't decide what color. If you look at the front/bad, you see dark grey plastic molding pieces, but the mirrors and around the top part of the door as well as the luggage rack portion is black. So do the rims/bars in black or grey? EDIT: Oh yeah, and luckily for me, One of my wife's dumbshit friends straight WHIPPED my rear passenger door shut, so now I can hear something rattling around in there that I need to find and try to fix.... Lbox88
Ordered LED replacement lights from SuperbrightLEDs.com and they came in today. Had I put them in during the day, it would have maybe taken 15 minutes to swap them out. Wanted night comparison pics though. The lightsMap light comparisonBack seat and Cargo area lightsOne stock Map light, one LEDNo flash obviously, before and after, ISO 800, 1/4 exposure, f3.1ISO 800, 1/6 exposure, f3.1Oh, and they work with the stock dim on/off. Slides up to full brightness, dims down as they shut off. UBL | Build Log
Lbox88
About to start fucking smashing trim, the damn front seat belts are the only thing stopping me right now dammit. UBL | Build Log
Lbox88
Had some factory deadener on there, shit looked terrible. Peeled of like it was nothing too. Started applying it then got an idea from someone else Toss that shit out in the sunlight to warm up and soften up. Started going on like butter. Now I just need to put everything back together UBL | Build Log
Lbox88
I ordered the Pioneer DEH-9400BH, too good of a deal to pass up.Took apart the passenger rear and a screw fell out as I was doing so lol. Here's what I found. Made a brand new adapter ring and put everything back in. Flew threw it this time since I've done it so many times already and only managed to snap this one pic. it made it Packaging was kind of shitty though, box was barely big enough to fit the radio in and you can see the one air bag that was flattened. It feels nice and solid though in the box! I will be starting to tear the old one out and put the new one in tonight/tomorrow, along with the VM-1. What's fucking NICE, is that it looks like it uses the EXACT same plug, so I may not even have to rewire the Axxess module AT ALL!!!!! Straight up unplug old one, plug in new one and start tuning. Lbox88
Dash destroyed, old volt meter out, relay out, VM-1 wired up, HU thrown in, but needs to come back out for a hot second before I can redo gains with the DD-1. Gotta go do some registering stuff tomorrow, and then plan on putting all of this back together and tuning. UBL | Build Log
Lbox88
Got the DD-1 back out and wires all disconnected. Busted out an old iPod cable to hook up also just in case I wanted to grab mine. Both USB cables are run into the glove box now to keep out of site and nice and clean. Also took care of something I've been avoiding...... Popping the door loose so I can adjust the crossovers. Pop off a trim piece, undo 2 bolts, pop the bottom half of the door panel off, just to take off a cover and flip a switch. Not a whole lot of room to work with. So one last look at it all tore to shit. And all nice and back together. UBL | Build Log
Lbox88
Replaced my cabin air filter and air intake filter, was sometimes getting a funky smell when I turned on the AC and recycle the interior air to cool faster. Stocker on the right is supposed to be pure white. Air intake filter looked worse in person than the picture shows. Had to put the sticker on so that in 40k miles I'll remember that it's a K&N and to clean it, not replace it. UBL | Build Log
Lbox88
Had to replace my brake pads as they were all getting thin and the rears hadn't been replaced from factory, so took the advantage of already having them off and hit them with some dip! Wheels all have some rough spots in them anyways, from either time/weather oxidizing them or the last owner grubbing a curb. Anyways, onward with pics! Did the front now. Did the back end now, wasn't 100% dry in the last pic. Daylight shot. Need to pick up another can so I can do the roof rail and some spots on the rear bar look like they could use another coat. Lbox88
Dipped the top rail. Also took out one of the batteries for tomorrow, threw it on the Battery Tender, threw the car on the Noco to top off and float overnight. Now to get 6 hours of sleep before getting embarrassed in Lansing tomorrow. UBL | Build Log
