to seal door pods or not to seal door pods..

so im throwing some hertz hsk 165 xl's in the doors of a project im working on. would it be better to seal the door pods there in or leave them open for cooling?

I think its a matter of weather your seal pods have enough volume to allow the woofers to work properly. If not leave them open.

I'm trying to decide the same thing on my RF T-5652s woofers. RF says i need 0.2- 0.25 cu ft to sound good. I thing ill build them to have the option to open the back up and vent into the doors. Then see which way sound better.
