girlcrazy_4
I'm running a very basic system and I'm having major voltage drop. I've got a DC 2K amplifier and a Dc lvl3 sub with lvl4 upgrade, along with a MTX 600.4 4-channel. I've got a 180amp alternator and a new battery. I'm running 1/0 to the amplifiers, and I've done the big-3 in 1/0 yet when I hit low notes my interior lights dim and voltage drops to around 11 volts and the clipping light on the dc turns on. I'm not building it for competition, but I want it to be a good sounding system and handle whatever I give to it. Should I be getting a secondary battery/power-cell? If so, what size would be adequite.

girlcrazy_4
I dont plan on keeping this vehicle for much longer, so I'll be passing on the alt. Should I go buy a regular deep cycle vehicle battery or should I find a dealer for a kinetic or xs power.
OrzechNJ
I would xs power.. but it wont least for too long if batt under the hood is weak.. sometimes Loud is NOT pretty Sounds like its safe to go ahead and bend that ass over.
MD7786
I have 2 yellow tops on mine. Lasted a good year but now its dimming a little. But if u have a 180amp alt on a stock dodge.....?.?.? Then u could run 1/0 from front to back batt and it should charge it decent enough.
