Battery Terminals And A Jump Start?

if I've got terminal blocks on my pos/neg connections, do I need to make it a point to keep an allen wrench in the car to remove the blocks and expose the terminals in case I need a jump start? or can the whole terminal just be clamped and give me my hot shot?
