bkolfo4 Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 I built a complete box for mine (1.5" thick), slid it in through the back door, bolted it down, and then built the trim piece out of 1/4" thick material from a cardboard pattern. Wrapped the trim piece in vinyl and was done. When I sold the vehicle it looked like it never had a system in it! Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
Slim337 Posted August 31, 2013 Author Report Posted August 31, 2013 That looks great. That's what I'm planning on doing. But I want a center slot port, cause I took the bench seat out & put the 2 captain seats in. Who did your box design?
bkolfo4 Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 I designed and built all of it. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
Slim337 Posted August 31, 2013 Author Report Posted August 31, 2013 Can you do a design for me? No rush on it. The truck going to be gone for a while having the motor & trans. rebuilt.
