chad190 Posted September 1, 2013 Report Posted September 1, 2013 Alright guys. Ordering 2 sdc 2.0's on Tuesday night. Would a JL 500/1 @2 ohms (after broken in) amp work well with these? Or go with the JL 360/2? And I have a previously built slot port box that is 3.8 cubes with 1.6 to each sub tuned @37 hz. What do you think? Will this be a good setup for the subs? john253a Posted September 1, 2013 Report Posted September 1, 2013 250 a piece is fine for thoes subs ive seen then running 4-500 in the right box post a few more specs on the box you have as far as net, 1.75-2.5cuft net, sq recommends 16:1 on the port ratio but it rellate it comes down to power and net as the sub stays the same nomatter what the net
jarrius Posted September 1, 2013 Report Posted September 1, 2013 I only see one problem with the amps you want to run. The subs are duel 4ohm voice coil. Thus makes your final wiring options 4ohms or 1ohm. So you need to find a amp that will do 500wrms at 4 ohms or 500rms at 1ohm. To e honest I would just get a 500 or close at 4ohms so if you decide to upgrade you will have headroom and not need to buy a new amp.
