CDetty Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 Okay, so I'm borrowing an RE DTS-1000.1 from my friend to temporarily power one of my X12s until my amp gets here from db-r (Which it's been over a week and I've heard nothing from them?), but my problem is, when I switch on the car, the protect light instantly turns on and the power light starts flashing. So far I've changed my ground location, ran a new remote, new RCAs, and later today I'm going to check my fuse holder on my power wire. (The insulation on the wire looks kinda burnt by the fuse holder so I'll be cutting that section of wire out). If nothing works, I'm out of options. Impedance- which, you took out of the equasion, by removing the speaker leads Voltage- assuming you have 10-16 volts, your good. Hell the lights come on, so, im guessing your good there. The power supply in the amp just took a shit. Hence, you will know DBR really well. Sorry, it seems like you just fucked your buddys amp up. Good luck. Thanks man. I'm honestly just hoping I melted the fuse holder and the amp isn't getting any 12+ and it's just the current from the remote illuminating the protect light.
