trent420
My subs are wired to 1ohm. I have a mmats 3000.1 on 2 Rockford p3 12's. I know it's way too much power. I read the coils with a multi meter today and it read crazy numbers all over the place. I don't care about the subs. They were temporary. I do however, very much care about my mmats. Can the damaged coils hurt my amp?
bkolfo4
Sounds like you measured with them connected to the amp? That is the only way I can see them being all over the place. Should be able to connect a coil to the DMM without it connected to anything else and get a single DCR reading. D1 coils normally have a DCR of 0.6-1.0 ohms. D2 are 1.4-2.0. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
