2001 tahoe 4wd, torsion bar help

so im wondering, if i pop the bar out of the control arm, give it just part of a turn, then put it back in, will it lower it without getting a new key?

No. The hex on the bars is uniform no matter what the rotation. And leaving the key ends at the original clocking and reclocking the LCA end is not an option--that's 60 degrees of difference. Wayyyyy too much.

The Bell Tech keys are pretty cheap though. Trim the bump stops a little at a time to avoid having to buy new ones when you take too much off.
