ImortalZomby
I dont know what kind of security system the car has but she only has one control for it and it works when it wants and it doesnt work when it wants. She has changed the battery in it but no luck and i was thinking to get one of the controls that they sell at o'reilys and autozone and w.e and just have them connect it for her cause she's thinking about replacing the whole alarm system for the car but that'll be a bit costly. So what could it be? The alarm control or the alarm system itself?
Pioneerchuck
More than likely its the key fob itself. You should be bale to find a replacement key fob online. you'll have to find out what type of system is installed.
nadcicle
Had a similar issue and traced over all of the door and hood pins and found out the hood pin needed adjusting. The button was a little finniky over time of opening and closing it and I just bent the pin up a little and it worked great afterwards. Not saying this is your issue, but it's worth checking.
