Suggestion for website
Pioneerchuck replied to baron_of_bass's topic in Sonic Electronix - Great Selection Great Prices
They already did.... http://www.sonicelectronix.com/about -
Definitely a great buyer. After a couple pictures and some time he had the money sent through PayPal. One of the easiest transactions I've ever had. Thanks again man.

do i need a battery?
Pioneerchuck replied to medwards420's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
It wouldn't hurt to have another smaller battery in the back for your amp. Maybe something like an XS Power d375. -
Shorter alt belt for silverado
Pioneerchuck replied to Rockford96's topic in MechMan Alternators and 12v Accessories
A gates belt approximately 0.5" - 1" shorter is what you're gonna need. http://www.jegs.com/i/Gates/465/K060908/10002/-1?parentProductId= http://www.jegs.com/i/Gates/465/K060910/10002/-1?parentProductId= -
Vcm question
Pioneerchuck replied to jmkanek's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
If you're hoping to run a dedicated 16v system then you will need a 16v battery bank, step down module for your vehicles electrical system, and you'll need to have the alt rebuilt to handle a 16v output. -

Back up camera
Pioneerchuck replied to diegoclass2010's topic in Sonic Electronix - Great Selection Great Prices
It's a pretty good backup camera. Installed one on an 03 malibu a while back and it worked out great. Has pretty good night vision and clarity both day and night. Id recommend it. -
2 x 12's on a sq2200
Pioneerchuck replied to Totalnoob's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
Lol those X's are gonna laugh at you on the 2200. Had two in a blazer hooked up to an AQ 2200 and they barely moved. -
GM 5.3l belt stretching & slippage.
Pioneerchuck replied to TRON's topic in MechMan Alternators and 12v Accessories
Yeah you'll want a 1" shorter belt for good tension, 1/2" will work but it is a little more leeway in the tension. Stock belt just kinda flops in the breeze...Lol -
electrical for 2 x's
Pioneerchuck replied to Karlswinslow's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
I would recommend getting a larger alt before buying a shit load of batteries. -
If you contact Mechman directly they might be able to make you one of these: http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server3700/a6ac4/products/89/images/175/vcm_kit__12903__26715.1336428599.1280.1280.jpg?c=2 Its their AVBM adjustable voltage module.

An externally regulated alternator would have had a heat sink looking object that is to be wired in with the alt when installed. If you do not have one of these then you are internally regulated. This is what an external regulator will look like if bought through Mechman http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/cAAsINzrMHA/hqdefault.jpg

2 12s or 1 15?
Pioneerchuck replied to cgallmore's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
The 2 12s will give you more cone area than the 1 15. So if you've got an amp that'll push both 12s with decent power then id say go with the 12s. -
SD-2 10D2
Pioneerchuck replied to f16fxr4real's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
The SD sub was meant more for a ported enclosure that had less depth in the box that way it could be mounted behind something like a truck seat. As for amp choice, if you have the more powerful amp already Id say go for it that way when you upgrade you wont have to upgrade power and subs. If you go more power now all you have to do is turn down the gains. -
You still have yet to answer what you have the sub wired to.... As for the ported box your "modeling software" told you just sounds absolutely horrible. Just cutting a hole in a box and making it 1/2" long will not be anywhere near effective enough for the sub. You wont have proper air space, port area, or sq" of port. As for your sub, at what frequencies are you having good sound at and at what frequencies are you having not so good sound at? A DD-1 is ~ $150.00 An O-scope is anywhere from ~$100.00 - in upwards of $1,000.00
