Hey guys im buildin a new sub for my subwoofers and wondering what would be the best wiring setup

I have a Hifonics Brutus BRZ1700.1D running 2 P3D4-12.

Here is the amp rating

RMS Power @ 4 ohms

600 watts x 1 channels RMS Power @ 2 ohms 1200 watts x 1 channels RMS Power @ 1 ohm

1700 watts x 1 channels

Here is the subwoofer

Nominal Impedance: Dual 4-Ohm Power Handling (Watts RMS): 600 Watts RMS
1200 Watts Max

Im a complete noob when it comes to wiring and i honestly dont know whats the best 4 ohms or 1 ohmes?

Whats the advantages and disadvantages between the 2?

Thanks

Edit: I'd keep it at 4 ohms. I'll let another person chime in but I wouldn't run that amp at 1 ohm. You get more power at 1 ohm, but some amps aren't stable at 1 ohm.

Are you running 1 or 2 subs? If its 2 subs, then you will want to run down to 1ohm. This way you will get the power you need to push those subs. But the difference being, 1ohm will draw more current and a little less efficient. At 4ohm you will draw less current, less strain on the amp, more efficient and amp will run cooler and cleaner. But at 4ohm you wont be getting enough power to push those subs very well. So if i read your post right it is 2 subs dvc 4ohm, you should run them down to 1ohm to get the most out of your amp.

Run at 1ohm

But set the gain very moderately

As they don't like over 750 clean on the new p3

So get someone with a dd1 or oscop and set at -3 and not the norm of -5 or -10

And you'll be more then right

My mates running his p3's on a t1500 at 1 (19xx birth) with a -3 gain (then 1 click more down) and they been going for over 6month and I no he clips the crap out of them on music
