Any time you wire below the rated load of the amp, you risk breaking something.

If you do it, do it knowing you could blow an amp and potentially your subs. Even start a fire. Know the risks and decide for yourself.

Neither myself nor anyone here can say it will be safe. And should someone decide to tell you that it is, that person should have a blank check ready to pay for any and all damages if they are wrong

You are correct truthsayer, BUT people do it everyday with sundown, skar and many other well made amps. It will void the warranty, but it can be done in lots of cases. I need to know if anyone has actually tried it, and what their result was.

box rise is whats saving those people from smoking their amps when wired to .5 ohms.
