TheMonolith2001
I know of a few restaurants/bars with large parking lots that are looking for ways to promote business. They already have plans for things like bike night, truck night, classic car night, etc and if I can get enough people together there could be an audio type event. It probably won't be anything but a meetup and not an actual competition unless someone brings the gear to make it one but would anyone be interested? This is super early stages right now so it might not be for awhile (it is starting to get cold out after all) but I have talked to a couple GMs about it and they seemed interested if enough people would show up. I decided I wanted to try to do this because I keep seeing all these awesome shows you guys post about and they are never around here! Maybe I am looking in the wrong places for events? Which leads me to my next question, How far are you guys used to driving for these type of events? I'm trying to pin down a radius around Cincinnati to narrow down locations, what would be too far? 1 hour? 2? 3? 5? 10? If the restaurant/bar thing doesn't work out, the old Cincinnati Mills mall will do anything at this point to get people talking about it again and that parking lot is HUGE and always empty. That might be an even better idea. Have not contacted the mall yet though and they are doing some kind of construction so I am not sure how that would play into things. For those of you that don't know it's an absolutely massive mall that failed and now has about 5 stores in it.
