So I am going to get 2 RE Audio SX18's and I was wondering what would be the optimal port tune for those subs. I also wanted to know what would be the maximum cubic foot box I would be able to build without putting too much stress on the woofers. I will be putting the box in a Chevy Astro so it can be pretty big. And finally, would I need to upgrade my alternator or maybe get a second battery if I am using a 2500 watt amp?

Look up the specs on RE's web site. The bigger the box, the lower the power handling. We can't tell you how much power you can run so you won't blow your subs. When in doubt, stick to the OEM specs. They're there for a reason.

Which amp are you going to run? If it's a true 2500 watt amp, that could draw upwards of 250 amps full tilt. Then your alt also has to run all of the other stuff in your car, too. Upgrading would be a wise choice.
