I wont compare them to my Focals because there is a large price gap in that but for the cost of them I was impressed. I personally think they come alive at higher volumes though. They sound ok being low but really start to shine once they get going a little louder. I would compare them to a set of JL Audio components I hade some years ago. Once that money hits I will be ordering a couple DC level 5 15s. On another note I have a little extra money coming in couple weeks so will be getting another 5K and two more 3100s. Pretty happy about that. On the first here I will order a CC-1 so I can match the two 5k's. Just placed an order this moring for toolmaker metalworkz battery terminals- another 6 and a 10 and order some 1/0 and 8 gauge from dropping hz. mmets Posted January 29, 2014 Author Report Share Posted January 29, 2014 Well not much but did another amp rack. I picked up two more 3100's (3 now) and another 5K. The other 5K will sit in front of the one in the pic here and the 175.4 will be mounted up top. I will post pics when I get this one in. Was pretty cold here this weekend so just built this rack as fast as I could. Im old and dont like the cold lol. I did order another 3100 (number four) and 60 sqft of hushmat that I should be picking up tomorrow. I will also be ordering an XS Power Charger and will order my subs. That way they will get to the shop and once my check hits, pick them up, hook them up, and try to make myself bail lol. Will update though as I can. That way they will be here once my check hits and I dont have to wait any longer. Hopefully this will be up and running in a couple weeks. Did get my hushmat in but still a little cold so may wait til it warms up a bit before I start pulling door panels off and what not. Will end up getting another pack I'm sure. Its only 58 sq ft. Subs are DC level 5 15s. Red carbon fiber dustcaps with black logos. Same as what Steve is putting in the DGAF. Not that I wanted to copy the same color but those are just too sexy that way and had too. Dont worry I can take the smack talking about it lol. Dont want to post here and make a new post so will just keep it here since its part of the build. I have three of the 3100s thre in the back. Hooked up. no issues. The wires going into the port are for the 2nd 5k that is not powered up yet. My issue is that i have another 3100 coming. I cant put the fourth 3100 like the other three due to a hump there on the left side. So i was going to just leave it standing up facing the rear or to the right. Any thoughts on how to maybe make it look a little better? i was going to make a trim panel for them but one will be up now and i dont have the room between my box and rear seat to put it.
