My kenwood clips at 32/35 but I don't get why some of you put sub level at +15 when tuning,doesn't the book say put all levels to flat and sub level to middle? I tuned mine at 0 level to have room to adjust for certain songs. Am I wrong here? not all headunits are the same. Some headunits, like alpines, the sub level needs to be maxed to get rated voltage, and the sub level doesnt distort the wave either at max (generally +15). It is just how some are. Wait, I'm confused. So should I have found my head unit's max unclipped volume with sub level at 0 or at +15? Because I did it at +15 and it did make my head unit distort at 28.
