Nubcakeninja Posted October 31, 2013 Report Share Posted October 31, 2013 hey guys, i havent been on in awhile but i do have a question. so ive gone to 3 comps this summer, 2 with my old 160 amp alt and big 3 upgrade and a smaller stinger battery along with my reg battery. during those comps....ik its bad but my voltage dropped into the 10's.. so i bought a 350 amp singer alt and it works fantastic, voltage is always 14.1 or 14 with everything on and music playing and all that. when i went to the 3rd comp with that, my voltage dropped to like 12.3 during the run and ive got 2 12 inch t1s running off a t2500.1bd. at 1 ohm.... ik im feeding them a lot of power but there is no distortion or anything used dd-1 with -10db track. im just wondering should it get that low? with that alt or do i just need even another battery or something? llol im looking to upgrade bigger next yr so im just trying to get everything figured out, thx a lot for the input in advance guys 1995 Blazer lt 4dr 2 t1d412s 1 t2500.1bd 4 polk audio door speakers 2 dash speakers(coming soon) 1 amp to run my mids and highs(coming soon) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
LoudBimmer Posted October 31, 2013 Report Share Posted October 31, 2013 if it suddenly dropped to 12.3, that means your battery is not holding charge anymore or alternators regulator went bad. Running 2500wrms on 2 small batteries is pretty risky tbh. Grab a D3100 or something similar and you'll be good. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bump4life Posted October 31, 2013 Report Share Posted October 31, 2013 i run 2 DD m3b off of a singer 350 and 2 D3100s. drop to 12.8-13.2 depending on frequency. no clipping. if i start to soft clip voltage drops. my advice would be to check connections, check grounds and check components.
