  1. yea i think im about to hit up those deals real quick haha
  2. well guys i finally emailed the man mike and this is what he had to say Hello Jake this is not strange behavior at all actually, it is some innovations that have been made with the voltage regulators. Some of the newer internal regulators in certain alternators I have built act this exactly same way. Basically the VCM is designed to make the alternator compensate when a load is detected on the alternator by pulling voltage up. This feature is basically designed to boost alternator performance and response to any load that hits the alternator (to produce more power to compensate) Voltage is just a messaging system for the alternator to make power basically, every regulator will act differently in terms of what I like to refer as "refresh rate" some jump higher then their set point by a few tenths to as much as a half volt higher to compensate. This my friend is a sign of a very good installation also Good work on that end by the way!
  3. man still no answers on mine??? haha any theories or anything to why mine does this????
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ci9ssaVhHwA idk how to get it to actually show the vid in the post but there it is haha a bit strange
  5. why is it puttin out more voltage when it should be using more correct? usually when u use electricity it goes down?? lol so confused
  6. alright guys, this is kinda weird and idk why it would act this way, ill be putting up a vid soon once it finishes uploading but it would seem that when i turn on components in my truck... my voltage goes higher??? like when i step on the brake it goes from 14.6 to 14.9 or when i turn on the defroster it goes from 14.6 to 15.0 or 15.1 and then when i step on the brake it will go up to 15.3.... this is the strangest thing i think ive ever seen.. just wondering why this is happening or how this could be happening and is it something i need to be worried about?? and my stinger meter is like .1 off either way so ik its decent number to be looking at
  7. yea i havent had that problem yet, i have it set at 14.8 and when i get in and start it when its cold, i maybe see 14.9 for s bit but after it warms up i see 14.4-14.6 usually and thats what my stinger meter sees with no music or anything on and my meter on the xs vcm sees 14.9 at the highest so far when its locked at 14.8
  8. the only really strage thing is that i set it at 14.8 so the meter on the actualy device shows 14.8 or 14.7 and ive got my stinger volt meter hooked up at the amp, ik they are notorious for not being that accurate but it was steady at 14 before i put the xs vcm in and now when im driving it stays right at about 14.4-14.6 but when i step on the brake it goes up to 14.8??? lol i dont know how that makes sense but im guessing its nothing i should be worrying about cuz im seeing 14.4 at the lowest right?
  9. fantastic piece of equipment, works great, having it charging at 14.8 and my amp sees anywhere from 14.4- 14.7 all the time.... love it!!!
  10. haha mine is in the mail right now, what did u wire the remote wire too?
  11. i think the one im looking for might be out of stock, i have a 95 blazer 4.3l vortec and the pin on the alt is 4 pin and its oval or rounded
  12. is it possible to get one of these? or are they out of stock or something? just curious thx
