Need amp help

hey guys i have a question

i have 2 12 rockford fosgate he2

runing at 4 ohms single voice coil

there r 100-200 watts rms per voice coil

800 watts max

and the amp i have is a

spl grla2000/1d

• RMS Power Rating:
  • 4 ohms: 600 watts x 1 chan.
  • 2 ohms: 900 watts x 1 chan.
  • 1 ohms: 1200 watts x 1 chan.
• Max power output: 2000 watts x 1 chan.

so the subs would be 400 watts rms and

1600 watts max together

so is this amp good for the subs

so that they wont blow?

it hits hella harder compared to the

500 watt amp i had hooked up

and the amp now the bass nob isnt even turned up all the way not

even half way up and it hits hell hard there not my subs thats y i wondering about them blowing thanks guys

It has a 40 amp fuse your lucky if you get 300 watts out of it. As far as blowing the subs don't worry it won't as long as its set right and not clipping. Is it louder then your other 500 watt amp maybe so but its most likely dirty bass

for every ten amps of fusing, there is roughly 100 watts of amplifier output. a real 1200rms amp would need about 120 amps of fusing

So you have a different version take this like kranny said for every 10 amps of fusing there is roughly 100 watts that can be made you said you have 2 30 amp fuses

30*2=60*100 = 600 watts possible of that amp if your electrical is good such as big 3 so answer to your question is no it's not anywhere close to 2000 watts .

@hazestorm23 ok well man i have a 93 lexus gs300 as far as electrical i have stock stuff of course besides my stereo wiring from when i got my stereo installed and yes it does hit way harder then the 500 watt amp i had so what does that mean for blowing the subs. The bass nob isnt even

turned up half way n it hits harder then before

Alpine 500/1 was the amp before my 2000 watt gorilla spl amp

If its the mrp series line I would take the alpine over the SPL amp any day its got cleaner power . Like I said just because the SPL sounds louder doesn't mean its good, you could be feeding the subs bad signals . How did you set your gains?
