BassDragon
I don't have money yet for an actual system, but in the meantime I scrounged up some stuff. Soundstream EG-10X Dual 4 ohm, 300 watts RMS Soundstream XS-10 Dual 4 ohm, 250 watts RMS MTX Thunder6152 http://archive.mtx.com/caraudio/archive/thunder6152.cfm What I want to know is: Could I use this amp to power both subs? -Could the subs be in the same box, or have to be in two separate boxes? Can this amp even power a sub? Should I even try with this amp, or find a slightly better one on craigslist? Should I just not bother? Karkov
Personally people will tell you not to hook 2 different subs up. The amp is only powerful enough for one of those subs. The amp does have a low pass so you could run 1 sub with it (what I would do) and just build an awesome box for the sub to get it to sound as great as it can. Just what I would do with what you have. Keep watching craigslist though. Do you have any amount of budget or none at all? Also, be REALLY careful buying used electronics from people you don't know on Craigslist. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. biscuitownz
One good box with one sub would sound better anyway. If you ran both it would sound weird
BassDragon
My budget will be somewhere around $500-$600. It'll be going in a small car so space is a biggy. But in the meantime I'll run the EG-10X with a prefab box. It's temporary so I wouldn't need to build one. Do you know where I can find a wiring diagram for it though? There's this one - http://m.seimg.net/product/img/subwoofer_wiring/1_sub_DVC_4_ohm_2ch_bridged.jpg - that I found from the SonicEletronix product page, but i would need the amp at 8 ohms and I don't think this one can...? 1993 Toyota Tercel Two DC Audio Lvl 2 12'sDC 1.2k
