shanesauce
Okay, so I am the process of designing my new box and about the max I can fit in my trunk is a 2.8cuft box gross. I am figuring gross x .82 for net, net x 16 square inches port, port area divided by port height for port width etc. edit: this brought me to another question, if my net should be around 2.4 according to my above calculation why am I getting 2.0 on another calculator? I am seeing 2.2 net after port and around 2.0 net after we figure woofer displacement, box is tuned to about 34hz. What would be my best driver(s) for this airspace and port area? I can't mount 12's forward firing so it would have to be 8's or 10's. I am thinking 1k rms max for the sub stage, I love the lows. I saw the new HDS200 from soundqubed and for $79 free shipping it looks like it might be a hard deal to beat. shanesauce
Honestly, the more I look at it here are my options. A) 4-Sundown 8's around 200in cone area 2-Soundqubed 10's around 157in cone area How big of a difference will that 40in cone area make on 1k rms? It is about a $240 more to go with the 8's. - 2012 Mustang 3.7 Manual - Audio under construction
