i'm looking into designing a T-Line box for a sundown E-8, and i'll be running it off a Lepai amp. see below for link. and i've read forevrbumpn's tutorial like 15 times and just dont get it...so could someone please help me understand or help me design one? Max dimensions are 29.25" wide, 11.5" tall, and 11" deep, going into my headboard for some sub bass, cause the cabinet speakers dont do it for me. i decided to go with a t-line because i'll be throwing minimal power to it, but i still want some bump. i'm open for suggestions to just a regular L-port box if that's what y'all think would be best. also, this isnt meant for home theater use or surround sound, it will simply be an inexpensive 2.1 musical system, i got everything else covered except for this. so any help is appreciated, and haters can go fuck themselves, stay off my thread. :D

says 68w for the sub channel, but not what load it does that at, or if it's RMS or "max". But that's what will be powering it.

if your wanting low bass you're not gonna get it with a t-line tuned at 52.7hz. and what exactly are you confused about with the t-line tutorial? finding line length? finding port area?

the port area part. i dont need real low, just like 30Hz and up. lol i guess thats low on normal standards...but do you suggest i get the 10 then? what is port area? like the WxH of the port? i guess a visual would help best but the tutorial doesnt do it for me....sorry for bein difficult.

yeah, im not sure how much low end response you'll get out of that setup. (40hz and below ish) i did make a t-line for an 8 tuned to 47hz and it didn't play anything low at all lol but that was with a different sub so i can't exactly speak for the E-8.

but to find the port area you find the Sd of the sub (effective cone area, or basically cone area) and that should be the port area. (i've found a lot of times it has to be as wide as the sub cut out Dia and it gives ya just enough clearance for the mountain depth)

for example, lets say the Sd is 15"sq if you choose 3" as port width the port height would be 15/3= 5". therefor your port dim would be 3" by 5"
