dont add anythign else to the drive, if you do your fucked. take it to any reputable computer shop in your area "they can undelete it with programs. they will save it to dvd's for you, they will try to charge you out the ass, just dont act like you know know what it does.

dont pay over 200-300 for it, it will save all your data as long as you stop adding stuff to it.

www.drivesavers.com is a company that does it for sony, but there are alot of cheaper alternatives that link will just give you an idea of what to look for.

if it wont even start up (xp wise i mean) and your hard drive is making like a clicking noise, the hard drive is done. it can be recovered, but will cost one HELL of a pretty penny. consider how valuable the info in there was. same thing happened to my dad, real important info in there (irs info) he was actually paid the $2500 they charged to get all the info out and into a dvd and optional portable hard-drive. so it all on how valuable your info is

current set-up:

headunit: kenwood excelon kdc-x891

mids: front: mb quart reference 6.5s rear: pioneer TSA941 6x9

mid and high amp: performance technique ICBM-773

sub amp: kicker 08zx2500.1

subs: (2) 08s15l7d2

4.25 cubic foot sealed box

big 3 all in hooker 1/0 wiring

Sacrifice your car to the Audio Gods and DBs will come.

well essentially when a drive is formatted the data isnt gone for good its there til the part of the drive is used again, so hopefully you dont try installing stuff to try it because the more you install the more you lose.

and clicking meh, those can be recovered too, fire damage np, dunked it in water np, theres always a way.
