first box build

hey guys long time basshead going on 12 years since my first install( 98 mazda 626 jl w3tens 900w Rockford amp) never forget took hours to get it to turn on haha. any way I'm pretty sure my girl is getting Me another type r 12 for xmas so that will be 3 subs in total on 1000w of jl v2 power I'll get a third 500/1 v2 at tax time so each sub will have its own 500v2. any way like the topic says this is my first box build it will be 9cubic foot in total with a 1.5 cubic foot slot vent so each sub will have 2.5 of air space tuned at 33hz box will be shared air space.

I'm just curious if you guys have any tips for me like what to build first what not to do ect. any ideas tips anything really will be greatly appreciated. or if you could show me a link to a good video most I've seen just show the steps not how they got there. thanks in advance

Just a thought but if you build the box for all three to share and each will run off its own amp I would make sure the crossovers on each amp are the same and also the gain. Personally I would get a bigger amp to push all three but haven't looked at specs so not sure the ohm load. Just a thought though.

I will run my amps in master slave. so my first v2s settings will control the other 2amps so no worrys there. just getting the gains exactly right will be the pain. each amp will have a 2ohm load and since ialready have 2 i really dont want to sell them. i know there are amps out there that are louder and better i just love the control i have with them. only amp i ever had that i liked more was my old zapco 9.0. i loved that like a child but my money got low when my girl got sick and it had to go. oh i miss that amp

Also check out torres box calculator and plan plan plan, measure, measure, measure again, double check your plan, double check your measurements then start. I have always had a good plan in my head, go to cut, put together and then realize I made a mistake somewhere and now have to start over or figure out where I'm going to put this or that. Also check out the SMD install tools, DD-1, CC-1 and IM-SG should be able to help getting the amps all the same. Someone may add to that though. I am not 100% but it should be a good start

thanks man I'm using the kicker u app on my phone for the box tunning. o did want to check out another software to be sure. oh here's a question should i start with the bottom then do my vent? then the sides front then top? I'm no stranger to power tools but ihave a feeling that slot vent is where all my problems will arise

Torrents would be the better choice to use then that kicker app. But if you want to use it it's up to you. Me being me I would post the specs I came up with on here and see if there correct.

Also with each sub having its own amp I personally would sell the jl amps and just buy one bigger amp and run it like that. Those jl amps cost a lot and it will be really really hard with out the cc-1 to set up your gains to match perfectly.

box for 3 subs w45 d20.4 h20.5 port height20.4 port width 5 port length 26 I'll use the other software you recommended. and what tool should i use to calculate the gain? brand name everything please. and i really don't want to sell them. i bought them new one 4 years ago the other 3. I'd be lucky to get 400 for the pair. plus my boy has one he'll sell me for $150. iknow there's better amps and stuff but I've had them for so long there like family. i really want the 1000/1 v2 but i got a wife and kid and they make sure i stay broke!ha

Tool would be a oscilloscope or smd dd-1 to check for distortion
