Guest Posted November 22, 2013 Report Posted November 22, 2013 You are going to need upgraded batteries with the XTR!! How many total batteries are we talking about? When I contacted Mechmann they said one deep cycle under the hood plus the 150A alt should be enough for my system. For the price to upgrade to a deep cycle battery I might as well get the 240A alt they offer instead. I'm sure their alt would last longer than a battery. Edit: I'm planning on installing a Volt meter to keep an eye on any voltage fluctuations. still recommended to have an AGM battery regardless.
akamigs Posted November 22, 2013 Author Report Posted November 22, 2013 Are you running active off the Hu? You might want a second two ch amp if so, or a jl 4ch to run TA from hu. A I plan on running passive. Care to elaborate on the rest? TA? You are going to need upgraded batteries with the XTR!! How many total batteries are we talking about? bcbrassard Posted November 22, 2013 Report Posted November 22, 2013 Time alignment of your speaker if that hu has that function. You set up a mic in the driver listening position and the hu processor TAs your system for SQ. But a 4 channel or 2 2 ch would be best but ight be out of your budget. Get a second battery also, or upgrade later but plan for it now.

I don't mind getting one 4 channel amp but how do I hook it up passively? 2 pairs of RCAs ("Rear Out High Out" and "Front Out Mid Out", as seen in the image) would connect to the amp and then connect the speaker wires to the crossovers that came with the speakers, which splits into the 6.5 and tweeters? Edit: I got it figured out.
