Ok so here it is. I have finally started my new build, and decided to start a log. this is my second rebuild so first I will get everyone caught up on my past systems. this build may be a bit slow because I am only 17 and don't have a lot of time or money. I also want to get it done the right way the first time. I am also going to include some pics of my friend's system. (Edit: My friends build pics end on page 7. I decided to stop cluttering up my log with his build to. I will be starting a separate log on his though soon.) so here we go...

Here is my car. It is a 2007 Ford Focus SES. It only has 40 thousand miles so it should be around for a while.

I don't have many pictures of my first system but it consisted of a Soundstream SPLX-15 off of a TX1.2000D with just some

basic 6.5's and tweeters, and a small Kinetik battery. Everything in this system was Soundstream.

For what it was it got fairly loud and low. I also bass raced with this system this summer at Draggin Detroit but busted out. Oh well

there's always next season.

While I was at a show this past summer I happened to meet Bump4life who has helped me out a lot with my system. He got me into DD subs and I will

never regret going with them.

So I went from my SPLX, to a 9515g

This thing slammed. I ran my amp at .7 for a while and it held up great. anyone needs anything from DD, hit up Bump4life. He'll hook you up.

Had the amps on an amp rack but the sub broke that so had to mount them to the seats.

Then it was time for the big 3 using some crappy ebay "0 gauge". it was more like 2 gauge but for $20 for 50 feet I couldn't pass it up

Then I got my new amp. A Soundstream XXX-4000D. I love this amp. I bought it from Underlok. thanks so much for your help.

I had this amp on the 15 for about a week and it slammed. the lows just came alive and got so much louder. this was still on my

35 AH battery so it was not even near its full potential.

after a week or so I got a call from Bump4life with an awesome offer. so I took advantage of it and ripped everything out of my car.

so for the past couple months, I have had no stereo at all in my car.

So that pretty much catches up to the current build which consists of...

2 DD 9512i's

2 Soundstream XXX-4000D's (one for now)

4 Shuriken SK-BT35 batts.

Stock 140 amp alt for now.

4 Soundstream SME-654's (two in each door)

one pair of Soundstream SST-05 tweets (one tweet in each door)

Soundstream TA2.160

SoundStream TA2.400

All Sky High Wire.

and i'm probably forgetting something but whatever.

There is a couple parts I didn't get many pics of because I was building that part at a friends house.

^^ok so that slot kinda looks like a port but its not. that is the bottom of the box. There is a ledge where the batts are going to sit under. it was the best

way to fit all the batts. I am actually using aeroports. the box is made of birch which is why it is only .75 thick except for a double baffle. the box is going to have all rounded edges with a piano black finish while the inside of the ports are going to be red.

So yesterday me and Bump4life built the subs and they turned out really well. I didn't know too much about reconing subs but now I do! Thanks for showing me how to do it.

so that's about it for my car today. I plan on finishing the box tomorrow and start painting Monday. after I finish the box it will probably be a while before I start working on my car again. I have to save up a bit more for the rest of the equipment. in the mean time though I will probably be posting up some pics of my friends car because he is in the middle of a rebuild. here are some pics of what is going on with his system.
