Can someone explain how to find the square inch per cubic feet when designing port?

Once again Joe X, I truly appreciate all your help. I finished my design and added the following: round ends on the ends of the port walls, 45's in the corners, rounded the 2 outside faces of the port(couldn't figure out how to round the top/bottom in sketch up, but will on the actual box) and topped it off by rounding the hard corners on the tranny tunnel rise. Here are the pics, what do you think? I really like how this box turned out. Only thing I may change is where the sub is mounted. I may push it more towards the outside.

It came out very nice, sketchup is your best weapon, unless you have a specific reason to change the sub position it seems fine to me where it is.

There are a couple of things that I would do and that is build an exact size cardboard model and test fit considering the clearance for the top mounted sub, the other thing is to do a fine building job avoiding leaks and such specially in the port section, everything has to fit very well, you won't get many chances to fix a leak inside that port.

Only reason I would move the sub is because there are little flush mount hooks under the seat and if they get in the way I may have to adjust the sub position a bit. I doubt I will have to but it is a possibility. The clearance is a definite concern. I made a card board cut out of the side profile to check clearance last week and did a mini seat lift/tilt as a preventative measure. Now this was using guestimations comparing it to the sa10 because sundown's link to the actual dimensions of the e10 just takes you back to the homepage. lol. The sub showed up last night so I am going to take measurements and triple check clearance. I have quite a bit of free time today so I may just do a full box out of cardboard for fun. Worse case scenario if I have clearance issues I may attempt a forward firing, but it would have to lift my seat more.

Well I made a cardboard version of the box and it fit great! Looks like I won't have any clearance issues with the sub either. It's close but shouldn't hit. I can always slide the bad a 1/2" forward and it will gain even more clearance. Plus I only have a jl 250.1 amp right now so I don't expect for this sub to come close to its xmax of 14mm. lol. I am already looking at new amps. Not sure what I will get but a sundown saz is at the top of my list so that will most likely be my choice.

More clearance for the sub is always better, place the sub wherever it gets the best clearance, glad it's fine and you don't have to yet again go to the drawing board.

I may tinker around with a forward firing for fun and more experience designing, but I am very happy with this design. If the e10 didn't have a vented magnet I could gain a hair more clearance, but the current design is as shallow as I can go. I have 3/8" of clearance to the bottom of the box for the vent in the magnet. Hope thats enough. I will probably gain a bit more clearance with the weight of the box and sub pushing down on the carpet too.
