mzenon88 Posted December 7, 2013 Report Share Posted December 7, 2013 I recently bought a 2001 cadillac DHS. It had a system in in which was wired like shit. I pulled everything out and am in the process of cleaning it up and re installing here's the problem I'm running into: It has a factory Bose system the factory plug behind the radio does not have a remote turn on for the relay to the amps. I looked around for places to get 12v switched behind the dash but all the wiring diagrams aren't accurate for some reason. Any help would be great. Whatever "shop" had a wire running to power junction under the hood with the constant and switched wires of the head unit both running to it. n8ball2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Report Share Posted December 7, 2013 The harness is in the trunk on the pass side of the car. It used to be a metra part number gm-1858 harness. You had to extend the harness to the front. If i'm remember correctly anyways. That may have been the non bose models. If it has a head unit in it you can get the remote turn on from the blue wire with a white stripe off the aftermarket head unit.
