So I'm in the process of wiring up a car for 2 amps. One amp will be for the subs and will have 900 watts RMS going to the subs @ 2 Ohms, the other will power the interior's speakers (mids and highs) and shouldn't be putting out more than 400 watts rms, 300 more than likely. Anyways, I've been told before that it's better to run a big cable from the battery to the trunk, then split it in half to power the 2 amps. Now for some reason, both my amps call for 4 gauge wire. If that's the case, then I would need to run a 0 gauge wire from the battery and then splitting them at theback if it's true that it's better to run 1 big cable to a distribution block.

So here's my question. I'm not expecting to put out more than 1500 watts RMS on this system, so would a 0 ga KnuKonceptz Ultra Flex CCA cable be able to deliver that much power, or am I better off with their oversized 4GA wire (Kolossus Flex)? I've had their Kolossus Flex in another car before and it feels more like 2ga cable than 4ga cable. I actually had to bend away some of the copper to get the cable to fit into the amp's leads (they're the screw in type). The terminals also didn't fit on the rings... They were too small for the cable apparantly.

So which way would be better to go on this installation?

0g CCA will work perfect for that.. You can actually run 0g for everything just need to get 0g to 4g reducers
