Kylemay1 Posted December 17, 2013 Author Report Posted December 17, 2013 Yea maybe. Just tryin to save a little money. Whatcha think about some 12's?
bbeljefe Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 If you've not bought subs yet, I would consider a couple of good quality subs with some real xmax. That'll get you the same sound pressure with a lot less wasted space. Facebook: facebook.com/audioanarchyllc Instagram: audioanarchyllc Youtube: youtube.com/bbeljefe
Kylemay1 Posted December 17, 2013 Author Report Posted December 17, 2013 No i havent bought then yet. Im a hardcore rockford fan so whatcha think along them lines? Ive had a t0 15 before and it did really great. Just a little outa my budget for 2 of them
Kylemay1 Posted December 17, 2013 Author Report Posted December 17, 2013 After doing some research ive came to realize that the p1 15's have 7.0 xmax. And the t0 15 ive had in the past had 14.3. But the p3 15 had 13.9 x max which is really close to the t0 an is half the price. So 2 p3 15's in a 2.7 cubic ported box with port facing toward back hatch sounds good to me. Ive already actually got a box for them. And the 1000 watt power series amp. So that saves me alot of money. Gimme your opinions on this guys
bbeljefe Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Not to bag on Fosgate but honestly, those xmax numbers are pitiable. The little Sundown SA-8 has 16mm of xmax. And there are a lot of subs on the market today with close to 25mm of xmax for what you'd pay for an entry level Fosgate sub. You were interested (I presume) in cone area for air movement. Well, the other very, very important ingredient in moving air is xmax. All the cone area in the world won't push much air if it ain't moving in and out. ;-) Facebook: facebook.com/audioanarchyllc Instagram: audioanarchyllc Youtube: youtube.com/bbeljefe
Kylemay1 Posted December 17, 2013 Author Report Posted December 17, 2013 Well id consider switching brands if i had to. Im wanting to make this setup havr more bass than the average 2 15's. I have a budget though so not wanting to pay more than 200 a sub. Ive got the anp covered the t-1000 bd has lots of power. Just need the sub. Id like to try some dd subs or dc audio but their pretty expensive and hard to find around my area. Sundown i hear is pretty good to
99blazer Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 im running 2 audioque hdc3 18s in my blazer atm and its 30 inches from back seat to window if you want to leave room to mount your amps on the box. If you figure how to squeeze 4 15s in there just do the port up. look at dd audios new redline series not bad for the price or save up and buy 2 dc lv 3 15s. look up some of dcs videos he did a 150 with just 2 12s. it all comes down on how the box is built. let alone it did take 2500w. 08 Ford F150
Kylemay1 Posted December 17, 2013 Author Report Posted December 17, 2013 Yea your box really makes or breaks your subs. Im thinking of just going with 2 p3 15's or 2 sundown e series 15's. I like digital design to. But everytime i look then up their rather expensive
99blazer Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 dd is well worth it. it never hurts to save up and buy something nice 08 Ford F150
Kylemay1 Posted December 17, 2013 Author Report Posted December 17, 2013 I like the sundown 15' thats like 230 dollars. Cant remember model numbet but 2 of them in a big box built to spec should do good. Has more xmax. About 30 more than im willing to spend on a sub but i just got a new job and maybe i can afford em. Might be a couple montha though
