Hey guys, got two audioque sdc2.5 15's in a ported box on a 2100watt crunch mono, well voice coils or somethin went out on one of them, and so i ordered a new 15 (HDS300) as they no longer carry the same subs as before. my question is will hooking this new 15 up along with my other sdc2.5 to the crunch hurt the subs? since they arent technically the same subs? got it in the mail today but not sure if i should hook it up or wait and buy another hds300 15 thanks guys!

I would not do it. That sub is different then the sdc 2.5. On another note why did you not recone the 2.5 then you could have used it because it's the same. Also if I blew a sub I would look in to why it blew.

You could, but it may damage the older sub.

The hds200 would have been the best option to go with as it would have been a better match for the blown sub.

I would just beat the hell out of the older one and get another one to replace that one and have a matching set.

Thanks guys! think im just gonna buy another hds300 and have two of those, then just either sell or save the 2.5's for a later project or something may have to look into a bigger amp with the 300's though dont yall think? they are rated 1200-2400 and im currently running a 2100 watt crunch mono at 1ohm

Remember with bigger amp comes for the need of a better electrical system it does.

Edit: soundqubed 3300 or even the 2200 is nice it is and will make them sing it will
