Aj11
I've been looking at the dc audio Line. i really like the lv 4 15 would it be worth selling my current set up, 2 type r 4th gen. and buying one of these, then another down the road. also the ct 1400.1 seems like a perfect match for the lv 4 15. i dont want this to be a vs thread! i want low deep hard bass. I'm more looking for people who have this sub and can give Me there info thanks. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
Asapbryan
The dc should be a nice step up from the type r's Obsidian 18, ppi p1000, 6cuf tuned to 28hz
Karkov
If you plan on getting a second one at a later time then yes, definite upgrade. I would suggest *some* amount of electrical upgrading from stock, especially if you are going to eventually have 2 sub amps and most likely a highs/mids amp or two. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. Aj11
yes, def the upgrade to Two later. i guess my question was, I'm not gonna have a huge lack of bass going from the 2 12s to a single 15? is the 15 good enough give me what I'm use to.if not more. i was thinking 2 lv 4 12s but if I'm going I'm going big. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
Karkov
1 15" is plenty loud, having two 12's before being completely irrelevant, yes, 1 15" *can* get plenty loud 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. jarrius
to me it would be worth it. I would sell the 2 Type r's and get 1 lvl 4 12 (15 is you have the space in your car for a proper box because just because you can fit a 15in sub does not mean you can fit it in a proper box to make that sub really sing.) Also i would get about a 2k amp for the level 4 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
