Pretty enclosure.

So im upgrading my POS pre fab and building me a pretty snazzy box sometime in the next couple of weeks for my 2 American Bass XFL 12s. My question is I dont want to have some boring old plain wooden sub box, how do yall reccomend getting my box carpeted, or upholstered or whatever the heck you would call it. Where to buy carpet? could i just go to walmart and buy some sort of fabric to use? Do i need carpet first before i build the box to carpet each individual piece? thanks guys!

I would build the box completely before carpeting it.

Spray it on the box, spray it on the carpet, let it sit for a minute then put the carpet on the box.

If you go the carpet route, there are a few ways to put it on. Soundman (on youtube) has the cleanest method of doing it. I think that if you did the front/top/back and left/bottom/right in two steps it should come out looking nice as well. If you plan on spray painting the port, and are using mdf, make sure you spray a primer on before your paint. If not, the mdf will soak up the spray paint like a sponge, and won't look all that nice.

For the carpet, get something that is latex backed. If not it will pull apart and be a pain in the ass. This is where I got my carpet at
