Dman1320 Posted January 4, 2014 Report Share Posted January 4, 2014 personally, i agree with them on the i5 over i7 debate. i7 is overkill for most system unless major mulithreaded apps are involved. as far as that cooler goes, i would get a fan for each side and run a push pull setup, to get the most of it. those self contained water cooling systems are nice, but will never compare to true full water cooling system. as far as that memory goes, unless your trying to squeeze every ounce of speed out of your sysem with an overclock for benchmarking, i would just get two sticks of 8gb 1600 ram. youll never notice the different in speed, and itll probably save you some coin to put towards a better graphics card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231746 for example. good bit cheaper, reputable brand, and the size your looking for. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226433 another one, never used mushkin, but see it a lot in the cryo/benchmarking world, and heard good things about it.
