FLA813DOVER Posted December 23, 2013 Report Share Posted December 23, 2013 that is true sometimes u do get dumb or complicated answers from scanners. i plugged the 1 we have into a 97 saturn with a shit load of probs head/ water system/ tranny b4 we rebuild it .the only thing it didnt tell me is that the head is warped lol. but it told me what sensors are tripping in the tranny (it needs a full rebuild anyway) and all the other sensors that do need to be replaced/or checked. but it told us what sensors arent responding (dead) and everything. 88 ranger xlt ext cab HU. jvc bluetooth/usb deck mids/highs. 2 earthquake 5s. 2 earthquake 6s and 2 Cadence CVLT-60 tweets subs. 2 Addictive audio V4 12s SAZ3000D SAX100.2 alt. 135 amp ford mustang batt. deka G31 1131MF box. 4 cubes 30-34hz rims. black 13x7 100 spokes with chrome knock offs. tires. 155/80r13.milestar touring se real billet grille not a bolt on. Ran me slightly more than the Craftsmen unit, but does OBD II, codes, erases codes, emissions, on screen definitions, LIVE engine data, internet updateable, Trilingual, Mfg menu and code definitions, etc. Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! 79 cutty Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Share Posted December 24, 2013 I have known my fuel sending unit has been taking a dump on me for a while because every now and then my gas gauge will fall to empty, I just want to wait till it's warm out to replace because it's a PITA and it's part of the fuel pump so I need to drop the tank to do it. This is nice because I can now clear the code and make sure nothing else is setting off the "check engine" light until I can get to replacing it! Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking!
