JuniorXJ's 98 Cherokee Build .... Fi BL 18"

Recommended Posts

Looks good, i had a Jeep w/ that body style and really liked it. Couple suggestions: your mids & highs amp is really underrated for keeping up with your sub stage. And maybe look into a HU with good built in EQing. Unless your wanting a seperate EQ for looks, Time you buy a HU & EQ you might have the same $ invested. Looks good though, tuned in for sure.

Thanks, I got the eq for Christmas and I have a alpine cde-9881 I had in it previously im gonna use with it. After this round of upgrades , the mid and highs are gonna get upgraded. I'm thinking 2 mid and 2 tweets per front door and not sure what to do in the rear because the way the factory has them set up.

Lookin nice so far. Always good to see other Cherokee builds on here. Just a question...how did you manage to run a double din? I've wanted to do a double din my 99 but I know it would require a good bit of modifications to make it fit.

Thanks, It was pretty easy to get in there but making the bezel look right requires some fab ( that i haven't got to finish, still just roughed in for now ). I'm going to just take it out for now till i can finish the bezel. wish i watched this video before I started seem way easier than the way i went http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT-QwMbi-6A

so i realized i made a slight/major mistake when ordering my component sets. Seem that they are rated as the PAIR at 100rms/200max not rate INDIVIDUALLY like i though. kicker is that they are already on there way and to return i would have a 20% restocking fee plus return shipping and the cost of there shipping since it was free shipping, so it seems i have 2 sets of components coming in that are of no real use to me ,damn i feel like a noob

So I ordered two set of PPI A2.65c components and change my plans for now gonna run one set up front and one set in the rear as coaxial (they can be ran as coaxial or component )

So now I have two sets of PPI S2.65c I have no idea of what I could use them for so on the shelf they go

Will post pictures when all this comes in

Oh yeah also ordered 20 foot of 1/0 KNU KCA and some SHCA heat shrink
