JuniorXJ's 98 Cherokee Build .... Fi BL 18"

Recommended Posts

Gonna bite the bullet and make a build page. This will be my first planned out build and also my first one Im gonna document.

So here's what I got so far

Headunit: Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD double din (installed)
Eq: NVX XEQ7
Front stage: Boston Acoustic 6.5 Component set
Rear stage : Boston Acoustic 6.5 Coaxial set
Mid/High Amp : Pioneer GM-X364 40x4 @ 4ohm
Subwoofer: Alpine Type-X SWX-1243D
Sub Amp: CT Sounds 1400.1d (little overkill? maybe.)

Wiring: 1/0 wiring fused to the back to 1/0 in 2-1/0 out
1/0 from split fused to the 1400.1 and 1/0 to fused distort block 4g to X364
1/0 ground for 1400.1 and 4g for X364
130 amp alt ( factory upgrade)
BIG 3 also

Going to be building a box in the next week and I'm still waiting on the amp to come in. So process will kinda slow but will try to keep updates as much as possible.

Any input is welcomed and appreciated as I'm still a novice ( I feel ) so please don't be shy. And I know a build is worthless with out picture so I got this for now and I'll try to get some more tommarow when it's light out.

I'm just taking a wild guess but the amp should be around 1000 watts @ 2ohms

That's what I was planning. I had a kenwood 500 watt rms amp going to it and it was ok but I want more power, and with this amp I have room to grow before I'll need to upgrade

So I'm ditching the double din and going back to the single din with the eq under it. Still waiting on the amp to come and need to get a few more wiring related things then it time to get this new stuff installed

Looks good, i had a Jeep w/ that body style and really liked it. Couple suggestions: your mids & highs amp is really underrated for keeping up with your sub stage. And maybe look into a HU with good built in EQing. Unless your wanting a seperate EQ for looks, Time you buy a HU & EQ you might have the same $ invested. Looks good though, tuned in for sure.
