For the first 2 and half years i would go one week living at my dads house and 1 week at my moms and so on. But for the past year i have been living full time at my dads house (cant stand my mom, she thinks shes queen and the world owes her and many more reasons i wont get into). I used to go see my mom about once every month, maybe twice, just depends on how busy i am with school or busy in general. So, today my dad gets a call from my mom saying she wants me to stay with her for the weekend. Im like FUCK that, i have nothing over there, and its really far away from all my friends, plus i already have plans for friday, saturday, and well sunday is my COD4 day . But my dad tells me i HAVE to go there, and he cant stop her from picking me up. He said something about how the court says i have to but i dont really know. Since i am over 13 (15) i think its my choice where i stay, atleast that's what i was told. So what are my options guys? Since we never went to court about custody rights or anything like that, just the divorce, there is nothing saying that i have to stay at one of there houses or i cant go to one etc. Should i take her to court and get full time at my dads with visiting my mom once a month for a day or so? Last time she wanted me to come over i went just to have dinner, then a week later she wants me to spend the night, then she forces me to go to tahoe with her for 3 days over winter break, then shes talking about me staying for a week, she keeps extending the time and its pissing me off. I know it sounds harsh but i dont want to have anything to do with her, im done trying to get along and make things right, iv tried for the past 3 fucking years with not positive results. I know some of you are going to think that she is lonely and stuff but shes not, my 12 year old sister lives with her full time. Does she come visit my dad? NO, maybe a dinner or 2 a month but thats it. So why should i go stay 3 days or week at her house when i dont want to?! O and she turned my old room there into her closet for all her SHIT. How do you think that makes me feel? Basically is saying fuck you, you dont live here more. Ok im done, sorry its so long, im just tired of this. Give me your input. dwright27 Posted March 7, 2008 Report Share Posted March 7, 2008 yea, this is a question, no one but yourself can have the answer to, but i know i would rather live with my mom, because we ternd to get along better, and she lets me do more stuff then my dad. although i love my dad we have moany more arguments that me and my mom, so i would try to stay away from choosing cause i wouldnt want to hurt either of there feelings.
