joe.hagerty1990 Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 Ok so heres my question i have a 2001 ford crown victoria P71 i am doin an install within the next month i plan on installing 2 soundqubed HDS315 dual 4ohm subs wired down to 1ohm on a Hifonics BRX2000.1D monoblock amplifier with 0gauge wiring from front to back and with the subs in either a super bass pro box for 2 15s with a total of 7.40 cf or a custom built SPL box what i need to know is what do i have to do to push this stereo properly since i have never done anything over 1000 watts... what all do i need to do and also what all do i need before starting on this install? And also crown victorias have an emergency shut off switch for the fuel pump in the trunk that cuts off when the bass hits any suggestions on how i can stop this from happening any help is welcomed and appreciated
JakThomas Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 The emergancy shutoff is on the fuel pump you may have to check your fuel system and electrical connections And what you can do to ease your descion is get your stereo system installed by someone that has enough experiance . Other than that keep reading on the forums there's tons of information or just wait it out here .from what I can tell you might want to search and read Also if your fuel pumps cutting when the bass drops maybe the bass is pulling more power than you can give .thers many possibilities I hope to not be dazed by thingsthatglitter if i ever have more wealth than the low income.
thefourth Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 The best way to do it is upgrade you're alternator first, but if you can't then find a XS Power battery that will fit under the hood. Another XS power in the rear should be enough. Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
Aj11 Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 nice set up, 1. is your big 3 upgrade done? 2. stock or aftermarket hu? 3. plan plan and plan!, before your install! if i were you i would build the box. those super bass pro boxes are one note wonders! also what Amp alt do you have? jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

thefourth Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 I think you will be okay running 2k with a big 3 upgrade, find the biggest possible XS power you can fit under the hood and something like an xs 1400 in the rear. If you are interested in upgrading your Alt look into either getting a quote from either mechman or singer alternators.
